Messianic Assembly Of Yahweh

The Holy Names

We believe that the true name of the Father is Yahweh, as revealed in the Hebrew Scriptures, and that the name of His Son is Yahshua (the salvation of Yahweh). We must call upon His name for salvation (Joel 3:32; Acts 2:21; Romans 10:13; Psalm 3:4). His name has been purposely taken out of scripture, which has led to man being deceived into following false gods. It is one of the purposes of this ministry to revive the knowledge and importance of the Holy names!

The Holy Spirit

We believe that the Holy Spirit is the power of Yahweh and Yahshua the Messiah. Spirit is translated as Ruach in Hebrew and Pneuma in Greek. Both words have to do with spirit and breath. It imparts the power to live, move, and perform. It imparts wisdom, knowledge, and understanding. It imparts the power to live eternally.

It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that the Father and Son are bound into their oneness (John 10:30). It is by the Holy Spirit or set-apart spirit that we can become one with the Father and Son (John 17:17-23). It imparts the intellect of Elohim in contrast to the intellect of man (1 Cor. 1:11-13).

It imparts the spirit of the Messiah so that the righteousness of the law may be fulfilled in His disciples and that they may truly be His (Romans 8:4-9).

Holy Scriptures

The BIBLE, consisting of the Tanach (Holy Scriptures) and the later writings commonly known as the B'rit Hadasha (New Covenant), is the only infallible and authoritative word of Yahweh (2 Tim.2:15 3:16; 2 Peter 1:21) and are the foundation of all true wisdom, knowledge and understanding (Prov. 3:19-20).

They are written in parables (Heb. 9:1-9) and mysteries (1 Cor. 2:6) which can be understood only by those who possess the Holy Spirit (1 Cor. 2:11). All doctrines and philosophies which are contrary to Yahweh's word are false.

The Holy Scriptures reveal Yahweh's plan of salvation which has been hidden in the Messiah before the foundation of the world (1. Cor. 1:7; 1 Peter 1:20; Matt. 13:34-35). We recognize its divine inspiration, and accept its teachings as our final authority in all matters of faith and practice (Deut. 6:4-9; Prov. 3:1-6; Ps. 119:89, 105; Isa. 48:12-16; Rom. 8:14-17.

The Ten Commandments

The Ten Commandments are Yahweh's righteous law (Exodus 20; Deuteronomy 5).They explain the true way to life and blessings. The commandments are truth (Psalm 119:151) and righteousness (Psalm 119:172).The real New Covenant promise is that Yahweh personally will write His law in our hearts and minds and He will be our Elohim and we will be His people (Jeremiah 31:31-34; Hebrews 8:8-12). His commandments are not and will not be done away. Yahweh’s commandments are spiritual and fulfill the way of love toward Elohim and neighbor.

The Sabbath

The true day of rest and worship is the seventh day Sabbath (known as Saturday to the world). This is one of the important 10 commandments.

It is a memorial to Yahweh's creation (Gen. 2:2-3; Lev. 23:1-3). It is a sign between Yahweh and His people that He is their Elohim and they are His people (Ex. 32:12-17) and it is a shadow of things to come (Col. 2:16-17). Therefore, it is important that Yahweh's people obey Him in observance of this day.

Annual Holidays

There are also annual Holy Days or Sabbaths that we do observe, for they remind us of Yahweh's powerful plan of salvation.

Therefore, it is important that we observe the Passover and the Days of Unleavened Bread--which is not only commanded in the Old Testament (Leviticus 23:4-22), but also is a command of the New Testament (Matt. 26:18-29; Mark 14:12-25; Luke 22:1-20; 1 Cor. 5:7-8; 1 Cor. 11:23-26).

The next Feast of Yahweh, Pentecost, is the anniversary of the birth of the New Covenant Assembly (Acts 2; Lev. 23:15-17).

The Feast of Trumpets is a shadow of the return of the Messiah (Lev. 23:24-25).

The Day of Atonement is a shadow of the atoning blood of the Messiah (Romans 5:6-11; Lev. 23:26-32).

The Feast of Tabernacles is a shadow of the coming kingdom of heaven (Lev. 23:33-36).

The Last Great Day is a shadow of the final judgment (Lev. 23:36).

The Man

We believe that man (Adam and Eve) was originally created out of the dust of the ground in accordance with the creation account found in Genesis 1:26-27; 2:7, 20-23. Man was created in Elohim's own image and made Sovereign over all the earth.

Man was originally created pure and good with no sin, corruption or death working in his members. It was the first man who rebelled against Yahweh's commandment, ate of the forbidden fruit (Gen. 2:16-17; 3:6,22-24) and brought sin, corruption and death upon all of his descendants.

Through disobedience, man fell from his first state and became separated from Yahweh(Romans 5:12-21). Therefore, according to the Scriptures, all men are born with a sinful nature (Ps. 14:1-3; 49:7; Isa. 64:6; Rom. 3:9-12, 23; 5:12).

Thus, from the outset man has been in need of a Savior and Redeemer to purchase and deliver him from his misery. Man's only hope for redemption (salvation) is through the atonement made by the Messiah (Lev. 17:11; Isa. 53; Dan. 9:24-26; I Cor. 15:22; Heb. 9:11-14, 28; John 1:12, 3:36), resulting in regeneration by the Holy Spirit (Tit. 3:5), which is the new birth (John 3:3-8).

For by grace we are saved through faith, it is a gift of Yahweh (Eph. 2:8-9).

A person who is called and repents should be baptized in the true name of the Yahshua Messiah (Acts 4:12) by an ordained elder in the true faith.

A repentant person should be fully immersed in water, signifying the complete death of the flesh in order to be raised up as a new person.

Kingdom Of Heaven

This world, this day and this age is not nor can it be the kingdom age. Yahshua told Pilate that his kingdom was not of this world (cosmos, age). If it were, then His servants would fight in order that He might not be delivered to the Jews and to death (John 18:36).

Yahshua's disciples asked Him if He were going to restore the kingdom to Israel in their day, but He told them to go and bear witness of Him. It was not for them to know the times or seasons which the Father had in His own power (Acts 1:6-7).

It is our responsibility to advise the world that the kingdom of heaven will soon be instituted on earth under the hand of Yahshua the Messiah. In the meantime, we are to be subject to the powers that be as long as their rules and regulations do not come in conflict with Yahweh's word.

When the kingdom does come in its power, the ruling authorities of today's world will be overthrown and the new rulers will be the Messiah and those who are His at His coming.(1 Thess 4:14-17)
